Wilma Judith (Dollar) West entered into this earthly life on July 27, 1941 in Albany, Oklahoma born to Author Vernon and Merle (Neely) Dollar. Wilma entered the Gates of Heaven on June 1, 2017 at her home in Durant surrounded by her loving family.
Wilma attended school in Albany and Yuba and later married Bobby Joe West on January 31, 1959 and to this union were born 2 children. Wilma was a member of Grace Baptist Church and she enjoyed swing, quilting, cooking and canning. The greatest joy Wilma had in her life was being a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
Wilma was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Dwayne, Bob, AV and Frankie “Tommy” Dollar and sister, Maridel Henderson.
Wilma is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Bobby West of the home; daughter, Teresa Gail Johnson and husband Larry of Carrolton, TX; son, Bobby Glenn West and wife Sharon of Abilene, TX; grandchildren, Sharyl Ann Loeung and husband Rath, Benjamin Jacob West, Andrew Caleb West and Brianna Noel West; great grandson, Kiam Loeung; brothers, Doug Dollar, Nathan “Butch” Dollar and Larry Dollar; sisters, Janice Carter, Rhoena Bass and husband Sam, Jane Boyer and Melba Moore and husband Tommy and numerous extended family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, June 3, 2017 at Grace Baptist Church. Bro. Anthony Williams will officiate. Interment will follow in Bokchito Cemetery.
