Johnny Hail Bailey, age 97, finished his race and went to be with the lord on May 21, 2017, at Covenant Hospital in Lubbock, Texas. He was born Dec. 19, 1919, in Waco, Texas, to the late Milton and Victoria Bailey. He married Lessie B. Bailey Sept. 17th, 1939. He was a devoted pastor; over 75 years at House of Prayer he loved the Lord to the upmost. He retired at the age of 93 as a mattress finisher he spent the rest of his days serving the Lord and being a devoted and loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Johnie was preceded in death by eight children: Johnny Bailey, Victoria Bailey, Gloria Bailey, L.J Bailey, Emma Jean Mooring, Robert E. Bailey, Corette J. Bailey, and Wilma Franklin. Johnie is survived by children, Early Mae White (Sammie) of Fort Worth, Barbara Nell Bailey, Linda Kay Childress, Tyiga Bailey, Shaun Chambers, Billy Wayne Bailey, and Larry Franklin, all Lubbock; one brother, Wilmer Bailey; and one sister, Gene Hobart of Waco.
