Charles F. Hook age 81 of Caney, Ks passed away on May 30, 2017 at the Guest Home Estates of Caney.

Chuck was born on June 19, 1935 in Havana to Charles M. and Eva (Dunham) Hook. He attended school in Havana, Caney, and graduated from Chanute High School. After high school Chuck started working for Boeing, he then enlisted in the United States Marine Corps where he proudly served for six years before he was honorably discharged. After his discharge Chuck went back to work for Boeing, then to Phillips Petroleum, and then retiring from Kmart. On November 4, 1961 he was united in marriage to Janice Mellen, to this union the couple was blessed with a son. Chuck enjoyed motorcycles, hunting, and fishing, but mostly fishing. Chuck's family and friends will remember him as being a ''good ol' boy'' always willing to help others out, making sure everyone was taken care of.

Chuck's memories will live on with his son, Brian Hook his wife Toni, brother; Robert Hook his wife Alice, 4 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren.

Chuck now rest with his parents, his wife, Janice, and sister, Ella Mae Hook.

Graveside memorial services will be held on Tuesday, June 6, 2017 at Havana Cemetery at 10:00am, with Pastor Mike Morris officiating. Military honors will be provided by the United States Marine Corps. The family suggests memorials be made payable to the Assembly of God Church and they may be left with the Chapel.
