Maynard Clark Luhn, Jr., 89, of Poolesville, MD, passed from this life on May 31, 2017.

Born on November 21, 1927 in Comus, MD, he was the son of the late Maynard Clark Luhn, Sr. and Eula Lee Wynne.

Maynard is survived by his loving wife Arlene DeEtte Luhn; three children, Kevin Luhn of Hagerstown, MD, Ellen Williams (Ed) of Beallsville, MD, Laura Hiatt (Rodger) of Elk, WA; one sister, Bilyie Luhn of Poolesville, MD; three grandchildren, Lara Saylor (Ryan), Megan Malik (Atif), April Kroboth (Brent); and three great-grandchildren, Zain Malik, Aleena Malik and Kaycee Saylor.

Maynard was a member of the Barnesville Baptist Church along with the Upper Montgomery County VFD and Monocacy Lions Club. Maynard had a great passion for baseball and was a pitcher in the minor leagues for the Washington Senators.

The family will receive friends on Friday, June 2, 2017 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Hilton Funeral Home, 22111 Beallsville Rd, Barnesville, MD 20838. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on June 3, 2017 at the Barnesville Baptist Church, 17917 Barnesville Rd, Barnesville, MD 20838. Interment to follow at Monocacy Cemetery, 19801 W Hunter Rd, Beallsville, MD 20839.
