G. E. Hailey Services Were Here Wednesday
George E. (Earl) Hailey, 73, of Onaga, passed away Sunday, December 5, at Community Hospital. He had been in ill health for several years.
He was born October 13, 1892 on a farm near Centralia. He and Mrs. Hailey have made their home here since 1954. Before that time they had operated a farm near Centralia for five years.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Lena Hailey, of the home; one son, Kenneth Hailey of Robbins, Calif.; one daughter, Mrs. Jean Markley of Sacramento, Calif.; seven grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs. Joy Elliott of Topeka ad Mrs. Fay Johnson of Emporia.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 5 at the Congregational Church in Onaga with burial in the Centralia cemetery.

George Earl Hailey, son of William and Ellen Hailey, passed away after a long illness at the Onaga Hospital December 5, 1965, at the age of 73 years. He was born October 13, 1892 at Centralia, Kansas.
He was united in marriage to Lena Maybell on April 3, 1918.
He leaves his wife, two children, a son, Kenneth of Robbins, Calif., and a daughter, Jean Markley, of Sacramento, Calif.; two sisters, Mrs. Joy Elliott of Topeka and Mrs. Faye Johnson of Emporia.
Preceding him in death were his parents and a sister, Mrs. Lessie Hoskins of Onaga.
Funeral services were held on December 8 at the Congregational Church, of which he was a member. Rev. Williams officiated. Kenneth Bureman was soloist and Mrs. Howard Smith was accompanist. Pallbearers were Antony Spielman of Seneca, Arthur Hoffman and Lloyd Schafer of Centralia, Wm. Zeckser, Edwin Hayes and Russell Perrussel of Onaga. Interment was in the Centralia cemetery.
