Jack Edward Sullivan, 79, of Lake Charles, LA, died at 4:00 PM on Wednesday, May 31, 2017 in his residence.

Mr. Sullivan was born August 27, 1937 in Lake Charles, LA, where he was a life-long residence. He was a graduate of LaGrange Senior High School, where he played football. He retired in 1995 from Local #106 after thirty-five years of service. He raised Labrador Retrievers and competed in field trials, winning numerous awards. Mr. Sullivan also enjoyed duck hunting and playing golf in his younger years. He will be truly missed by his family.

Mr. Sullivan is survived by his wife of fifty-seven years, Marilyn Sullivan of Lake Charles; children, Kim McCool and husband Kirk of Sulphur, Brent Sullivan and wife Lisa of Moss Bluff, and Kay Lynn Stemmann and husband Karl of Lake Charles; brother-in-law, Harry Harbert of Port Arthur, TX; grandchildren, Nicole Royer, Brett Royer, Emily Foreman, and Katelyn Sullivan; and great-grandchildren, Eli and Dylan Foreman.

His graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, June 3, 2017 at Highland Memory Gardens. Kirk McCool will lead the service. Visitation will be at Johnson Funeral Home on Friday from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and continue on Saturday from 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Autism Services of SWLA, 3006 Common Street, Lake Charles, LA 70601.
