David O. DAULTON, 70, 2216 Wolf's Point Drive, died at 4:45 p.m. Sunday at Hickory
Creek of Rochester, where he was a patient for five days following a sudden illness.
Born in Rochester to Ben and Edna NICHOLS DAULTON, he married Winifred "Kiki"
McCord Aug. 28, 1954, in Brahman, Okla. She survives.
Mr. Daulton co-owned and operated Rochester City Dray with son David O. Daulton Jr. He
was a member of the Elks Lodge 2120, Eagles Lodge 852 and Lake Manitou Moose Lodge 1107, all of Rochester. A lifetime Rochester area resident, he was a 1952 Rochester High School graduate and attended Oklahoma State University, Stillwater, Okla. An avid outdoorsman, he loved gardening, golfing and ice fishing. He received an award from Eli Lilly for his long fight against diabetes, which he had waged for more than 50 years. His favorite time was time spent with family and friends.
Surviving with his wife, at home, are one daughter, Carey WESTER and husband William,
Marshfield, Wisc.; two sons, David O. [DAULTON] Jr. and wife Pamela, Rochester, and Tab
[DAULTON] and wife Cheryl, Hamburg, N.Y.; five grandchildren, Krystle and Krystopher
DAULTON, Rochester, and Thomas DAULTON, Hamburg, N.Y., and Clayton and Tabitha
WEBSTER, Marshfield, Wisc.; one brother, Phillip DAULTON, Rochester; very special friends Kim and Jodi RICHARDSON, Rochester; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding in death were two granddaughters, Summer Rae and Cassie Sue GAST, and his
parents.
Services are at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Foster & Good Funeral Home, Rochester, with Mr.
Milam ANDERSON officiating. Burial will be at Athens Cemetery. Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home and one hour prior to services. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
