Audine was born July 15, 1930 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Homer L. and Bertha M. (Shaw) Williams.

Audine's father was the Baseball Manager of the old Oakland Oaks back in the day before the A's moved from Kansas City to Oakland. In fact, Audine used to babysit baseball great Ted Williams' children for him and his wife, and Audine once dated Billy Martin.

She got her Social Security card in California. In 1956, her last name was changed on her Social Security Card to Audine Mozelle Sorensen.

On May 4, 1959 she arrived at McGuire Air Force Base, New Jersey with Lance L. Sorensen. At that time, their residence was 602 S. Pine St., Newton, Kansas. On her entry card, it was noted that there was no need for a passport or visa.

Sadly, Lance died in 1973, and was buried in Newton, Kansas.

Audine entered eternity August 18, 1992 in Jackson County, Oregon. She is buried in Greenwood Cemetery, Newton, Kansas, in the same grave as Lance.

Audine Mozelle Sorensen, 62, of Medford, Oregon, died Tuesday (Aug. 18, 1992) at Providence Hospital. No local service is planned. Inurnment will be in Newton, Kansas.

Her only survivor is a son, Mark Sorensen, of Medford.

She was preceded in death by a son, Lance L. Sorensen, and her father, Homer Williams.
