Nina Lee Jones, 79, of Sherwood, Arkansas passed away, quietly in her sleep, on Friday, May 26, 2017. She was born in Quitman, Arkansas to Floyd and Willie Wright on September 19, 1938.

She was a self-made business woman, owning Arkansas Industrial catering, East Port Bar, a Diamond Shamrock gas station, several Laundromats and pool halls before becoming the outreach coordinator for the North Pulaski Baptist Association.

She received a Masters in Ministry from Harding University. After leaving the North Pulaski Baptist Association, she started driving for the Arkansas Rice Depot delivering food all over the state of Arkansas with the Food for Kids Program and working with USDA Food Pantries.

She was an active community member with a heart for service. She was a member of Park Hill Baptist Church. She will be remembered as fiercely loyal and devoted to both her family and her service.

She was preceded in death by her sister, June Anderson.

She is survived by her brother, Rick Wright; daughter, Gina Bettis; and granddaughter, Kathryn Kellogg.

The family will hold a tree planting service in her honor on her birthday in the fall.

Those who so desire may make memorial donations in her memory to the Arkansas Rice Depot, 801 65th Street, Little Rock, AR 72209.
