New York Orphan Train of 1926--
As stated in the August 13, 1926 edition of the Independent-Courier (Clarence, Missouri), Elmer and his sister, June, were brought to Clarence, Missouri in August of 1926 from New York by Mr. and Mrs. J.W. Swan of Sedalia. The couple represented the Orphan's Aid Society of New York. Elmer found a home with Mr. and Mrs. Fred Heathman, and June found a home with Thomas Wilkes.
