Benson: Mrs. Frances Ryals Adams, age 82, of 1200 Adams Road died Wednesday at Duke Raleigh Hospital in Raleigh. Funeral Service will be 3:00PM Sunday at Stone’s Creek Advent Christian Church. Rev. Tom McMahon and Dr. Larry Withrow will officiate. Burial will follow in Banner Chapel Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Adams was born in Johnston County on January 12, 1935 to the late Jim and Millie Ellen Adams Ryals. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. J. Edward Adams and a daughter, Connie Ellen Adams. Mrs. Adams was a loving and caring minister's wife, serving in many Advent Christian Churches. She was a homemaker and member of Stone's Creek Advent Christian Church.

Surviving include sons, James Edward Adams, Sr., and wife, Jean, of Snow Hill, and Brian Adams of Charleston, SC; Grandchildren, Lisa Adams Padgett and husband, David and James Edward Adams, Jr.; and Great Grandchildren, Madelyn, Olivia and Edward; son-in-law, Alan Hengle of Reston, Virginia.
