Rev. Richard Churchill, on June 7, 1951, in Lockport, Illinois, was born to the union of the late James Churchill and Mamie (Wilson) Churchill. Richard accepted the Lord as his personal Savior. He was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. He served in various areas in the ministry. Richard was raised in Lockport, Illinois and attended Lockport High School.
Rev. Richard Churchill married Bridget B. Churchill of Joliet on March 9, 1974. This union brought forth three children, Felica, Treveda, and Richard James. Richard loved his children and made sure that they received Godly council. Rev. Richard Churchill worked at Citgo Oil Refinery for over 20 years. Richard worked in various positions, including management, for Citgo throughout his career.
Rev. Richard Churchill was hardworking and dedicated. He enjoyed fishing, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. Richard treasured the time spent with loved ones and never took it for granted.
Rev. Richard Churchill made his transition to be with the Lord on May 30, 2017. His final days were spent with his family members.
Richard leaves to cherish memory: his three children, Felica, Treveda, and Richard James; seven beautiful grandchildren, Janae, Jada, Amya, Jalon, Jayme, J'Dyn, and Jazlyn; and one great-grand child Gabrielle; one brother, Henry (Johnna) Churchill; six sisters, Gina (Curtis) Crawford, Jeanette Seabron, Lynette (Roger) Gates, Nancy Johnson, Nina Churchill, and Jill Alexander; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
He was proceeded in death by his parents James "Hoppie" Churchill and Mamie(Wilson) Churchill and his brother James "Kook" Churchill.
