Rev. Richard Churchill married Bridget B. Churchill of Joliet on March 9, 1974. This union brought forth three children, Felica, Treveda, and Richard James. Richard loved his children and made sure that they received Godly council. Rev. Richard Churchill worked at Citgo Oil Refinery for over 20 years. Richard worked in various positions, including management, for Citgo throughout his career.
Rev. Richard Churchill was hardworking and dedicated. He enjoyed fishing, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. Richard treasured the time spent with loved ones and never took it for granted.
Rev. Richard Churchill made his transition to be with the Lord on May 30, 2017. His final days were spent with his family members.
Richard leaves to cherish memory: his three children, Felica, Treveda, and Richard James; seven beautiful grandchildren, Janae, Jada, Amya, Jalon, Jayme, J'Dyn, and Jazlyn; and one great-grand child Gabrielle; one brother, Henry (Johnna) Churchill; six sisters, Gina (Curtis) Crawford, Jeanette Seabron, Lynette (Roger) Gates, Nancy Johnson, Nina Churchill, and Jill Alexander; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
He was proceeded in death by his parents James "Hoppie" Churchill and Mamie(Wilson) Churchill and his brother James "Kook" Churchill.
Visitation 6pm - 8pm Thursday June 1st, 2017 at Range Funeral Home, 202 South Eastern Avenue, Joliet, Illinois, 60433 and 10am -11am Friday June 2nd, 2017 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 402 Singleton Place, Joliet, Illinois, 60436.
Funeral Services 11:00am Friday June 2nd, 2017.
Interment immediately following Funeral Services at Elmhurst Cemetery, 1212 East Washington Street, Joliet, IL 60433.
