Glenn A. Black, Sr., 79, of Louisville, died on Sunday, the 28th day of May, 2017, at Baptist Health Louisville. Born in Bagdad, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Joseph Selbert and Eugenia Clements Black. He was a retired cartographer, having worked at the federal government defense mapping agency. Playing golf, bowling, gardening, and fishing were among his favorite hobbies and he was a University of Louisville football fan.

His survivors include his sons, Glenn A. Black, Jr., and his wife, Kim, of Flower Branch, Georgia, and Allen Joseph Black of Louisville; his daughters, Kathy Lynn Blakeman of Louisville, Nadine Howell and her husband, Neil of Villa Rica, Georgia, Vonda McDougall and her husband, Joe, of Bardstown, Michelle Mingis and her husband Steve, and Kristina Black Watkins and her husband, Steve, of Louisville; his brothers, Gary Joe Black of Seymour, Indiana, and Douglas Black of Jeffersonville, Indiana; and his nineteen grandchildren, twenty-three great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 A. M., Friday, 2nd day of June, 2017, at the Bagdad Cemetery, Bagdad, Kentucky. Interment will be in the Bagdad Cemetery in Bagdad, Kentucky.
