Mrs. Lorretta Burns, 79, of Dadeville died Friday, May 26, 2017, at East Alabama Medical Center. She was born May 28, 1938 in Chambers County, AL to the late Lon Moore and Tempie Mae Brooks. She joined the Ozais Baptist Church at an early. She was a graduate of Edward Bell High School where she was deemed Valedictorian of her graduating class. On October 13, 1965, she married Mr. Velpo Burns and lived the remainder of her life in Dadeville, AL.
Mrs.Burns is survived by her five daughters and one son, Vanessa (Frank Dawson) Moore, Rita Moore, Kenneth (Felica) Burns, Tracy (Rodney) Alvies, Phyllis (Tommy Darby) Burns, Connie (Christopher) Tai all of Dadeville, AL; eight loving granddaughters, Seven loving grandsons, eighteen great grandchildren two special friends, Mary Ann Tai and her son Timothy Holloway and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
