Ileene Housley Smith, lovingly known as Grandma Bells by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, was born in Richmond, Utah, Aug. 26 1932. She passed away May 7, 2017, in Logan, Utah.
Ileen graduated from North Cache High School in 1950.
Ileene married Myrl Cole Smith on Jan. 22, 1951, in the Logan LDS Temple.
Ileen faithfully served in nearly every organization in the LDS Church. Serving in the temple was her favorite.
Ileen retired from Pepperidge Farm in 1999.
Ileen was preceded in death by her parents, Walden Housley and Norma Charlotte Jensen and Luetta Hiibner, her husband Myrl Cole Smith, and a grandson, Shayne Marcell Pitcher.
She is survived by a son, Steven Myrl Smith, and a daughter Joyce Pitcher; grandchildren Brenda Pitcher, Nicole Pitche; great-grandchildren Chayton Pitcher, Stetson Pitcher, and Brenden Pitcher. Also, brothers and sisters, LaDon Forsgren, Arva (LeRoy) Westley, Larry (Lorna) Housley, Leola (Wynn) Bott, Cleon (Virginia) Housley, Allan (Karen) Housley, and Carma Lively.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, May 10, 2017, at noon in the Richmond 2nd Ward chapel, 150 S. 1st East, Richmond, Utah. Friends may call Wednesday from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at the church.
Interment will be in the Richmond Cemetery.
