Lois was born on July 5, 1926 to William Albert (Bert) Anderson and Linnie Elizabeth Hipkins Anderson in Ramsey. Lois was united in marriage to William (Bill) Jones in St. Charles, MO. To that union two children were born Kerry B. (Butch) of Oskaloosa, IA and Rebecca “Becky” (Tim) Laffoon of Tulare, CA; three grandchildren Heidi, T.C. and Cassie; five great-grandchildren Swayze, Styler, Vivianne, Sorelle and Graylee; and brother Robert (Bob) Anderson of Carmel, IN.
Lois worked at the Beecher City High School office for ten years and Marshall Clinic in Effingham for 25 years. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Cowden for many, many years. She loved her time playing in the Kluthe Kitchen Band for many years and enjoyed her Art Guild in Effingham, loved to paint and was very good at it.
Lois was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers Van, Charles and Albert (Jr.), five sisters Nellie, Irma, Helen, Betty and infant sister Dorothy and daughter-in-law Judy of Oskaloosa, IA.
Funeral service will be Friday, June 2, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Darrell Hinkle officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at the First Christian Church in Cowden. Burial will be in the Beecher City Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the First Christian Church in Cowden.
