Ted was born in Kansas City, Missouri in 1933 and was a proud alumni of the Kansas State Teachers College and ASU. His work with young people spanned many decades as a teacher, coach, and mentor at Cortez High School in Phoenix. He was also a member of the adjunct faculty of Glendale Community College for over 30 years. Upon retirement, Ted became involved with several automotive clubs in the valley, growing his passion for the Model A Ford and other classic autos. As a veteran, Ted was an active member of the Marine Corps League and participated in their many philanthropic endeavors. He was beloved my many and will be missed by all. Ted was preceded in death by his wife Jackie Carman and is survived by three daughters, Tebra Peterson (Tempe), Kam Carman (Detroit), and Callie Krohn (Surprise) and his sister Frances Main (Kansas City). Ted also leaves behind eight loving grandchildren. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 4th at 10 AM at the Camino del Sol Funeral Chapel at 13738 W. Camino del Sol in Sun City West, Arizona.
