William F. Anhalt, age 88, a resident of Artisan Senior Living, Manitowoc, died on Sunday evening, May 28, 2017.
Bill was born on January 13, 1929 in Collins, son of the late William and Elsie (Mahloch) Anhalt. He was a graduate of Valders High School with the class of 1948. On May 10, 1952 he married the former Kathleen McConnell at the former Holy Innocents Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Bill was employed in Manitowoc with Medusa Cement Company for over 42 years.
Survivors include his wife: Kathleen Anhalt, Manitowoc; one son and daughter-in-law: William M. (Patti) Anhalt, Manitowoc; five daughters and four sons-in-law: Kristine Anhalt, Manitowoc, Cynthia and Jack Simono, Manitowoc, Kim and Steve Gretz, Two Rivers, Kelly and Craig Koerner, Madison, Kathryn "Kay" and Charles Radey, Manitowoc; ten grandchildren: Amanda, Christopher, Kayla, Kylie, Grace, Bob, Jenny, Brittany, Zach and Danielle; ten great grandchildren; one brother and sisters-in-law: Owen and Delores Anhalt, Manitowoc; one sister and brother-in-law: Helen and Richard Schmidt, Appleton; one brother-in-law: Ralph Binversie, Valders; one sister-in-law and brother-in-law: Ann and Tom Schoening, Sherwood. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. He was also preceded in death by three brothers: Henry, Jay and Ben Anhalt; and four sisters: Betty Binversie, Alice Walber, Leona Lettenburger, and Gertrude Adelman.
Cremation has taken place at All-Care Cremation Center, Manitowoc, and funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, June 2, 2017 at St. Francis of Assisi on Waldo (1121 North 14th Street), Manitowoc. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Dave Pleier with burial of his cremated remains to follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
The family will greet relatives and friends on Friday, June 2, 2017 at St. Francis of Assisi on Waldo, Manitowoc, from 11:00 a.m. until 12:45 p.m.
