Pecatonica - Gloria Ritter, 73, of Pecatonica passed away Tuesday, July 14, 2009, in Medina Manor after a courageous battle with cancer. Born March 5, 1936, in Rockford, the daughter of Romaine and Lucille Anders. Graduated from Pecatonica schools. She married Edward W. Ritter on Aug. 4, 1956, in Pecatonica. She worked at JI Case Co. in Rockford and at Beans Inn as a cook. Member of St. John Lutheran Church.

Predeceased by parents; husband, Ed; and son, Steve. The family would like to thank Medina Manor and Hospice Care of America for their comfort and care during her illness. Service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 18, in St. John Lutheran Church, 1301 N. Jackson St., with the Rev. Richard W. Berg, pastor of Redeemer Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial in Twelve-Mile Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday in Kenneth L. Countryman Funeral Home, 529 Washington St.
