Paula F. Wheeler, age 53, of Battle Creek, died Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at Bronson Battle Creek. Paula was born August 26, 1962 in Battle Creek, to Donald and Ruby (Aikens) Westworth, and was a lifelong resident. Paula had attended Lakeview Schools and had been employed as a teacher’s Aide for the Head Start program and other day cares. Paula loved motorcycles, cooking, camping, staying in touch with friends on Facebook and especially spending time with her grandchildren. Paula was a member of the Little River Band of the Ottawa Tribe and was proud of her Native American heritage. Paula is survived by her life partner, Kenneth R. Dubois, sons, David (Tia) Dubois and Robert Dubois, both of Battle Creek, a daughter, Sally (Kirk) Henning of Battle Creek, stepsons, Lester (Catie) Wheeler, of Rathdrum, Idaho, and Shane (Ashlee) Wheeler, of Colorado, Springs, CO, 22 grandchildren, brothers, David Wabindato, and Anthony Wabindato both of Battle Creek. Paula was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, Norman McGinn.
