Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Faye Witt Harris.
Arthur was a retired heavy equipment operator and truck driver.
He is survived by his children, Terri H. Jordan and her husband, Lewis, Toni H. Borinski and her husband, Wayne, Arthur Thomas "Tommy" Harris Jr. and his wife, Penny, and Timothy D. "Timmy" Harris and his wife, June; three sisters, Catherine "Kak" Harris, Katie B. Flynn, and Florine "Lizzie" Romine; and four brothers, David A. Harris, Harold D. Harris, William R. Harris, and Ronald S. "Ronnie" Harris; 11 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday January 31, 2012, at the Rockfish Valley Baptist Church Cemetery, Nellysford, with speaker, Robert Mansfield officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Monday, January 30, 2012, at the Wells/Sheffield Funeral Chapel, Lovingston, 434-263-4097.
