She married Royal D. Martin on 3/14/1946. He died on 1/22/2001. For many years the couple owned and operated Treasures and Junk at the Red Barn on the Farm to Market Road, Brushton.
She was a past member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed many family gatherings, playing bingo, visits to the casino, reading, and listening to country music.
She was survived by her children, Mrs. Patti (Donald) Prue, Mrs. Debrah (Roger) Prue, Ms. Sue Robideau, and Robert Martin; eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; a sister, Hilda Hemmerling; and a brother, Milan Powell.
She was predeceased by her parents; her husband; a son, David R. Martin, on 2/10/1974; two brothers Julius and Edgar Powel; and three sisters, Lois Pike, Althea King and Joyce Black.
