In the 1910's, Miss Ballentine taught at Willowdale school house, a one room school near Lawrenceville, Ohio. In 1918, three of the 12 students were her little sister, Zelma, my grandmother, Gladys Frederick, and her younger sister, Cleo Frederick. My grandmother kept a Valentine postcard she had received from her.
