Thurston and the late Helen Margaret (Kifer) Thurston, was born February 27, 1950 in Bernie, Missouri and departed this life on May 26, 2017 at the age of 67 years. Vickie married Michael Leon Brown on November 30, 1979 in Paragould, Arkansas. Michael preceded her in death on December 30, 2015.

Ten Grandchildren: Carla Patino, Caitlyn Tenorio, Alexander Torres, Jacob Patino, Adrian Torres, Corwin Brown, Adian Patino, Jesus Flores, Jaydah Knowlton and Emma Brown.
