Norma Jean Smith, 81, of Delphi passed away on May 28, 2017 at IU Health Arnett in Lafayette.
She was born to the late William A. and Pearl Elizabeth (Davis) Crist on January 10, 1936 in Coal City, Illinois. She attended schools in Monticello, Indiana.
She married Donald E. Smith at the Delphi Church of Christ on April 6, 1969. He preceded her on Dec. 30, 2009.
She was a member of the Monticello VFW Ladies Auxiliary and lifetime member of the Wabash & Erie Canal Association.
Mrs. Smith enjoyed singing and watching animals and helping others.
She is survived by her children: Kathy Cottrell (Jeff) of Camden, Donnie Smith of Delphi, Karen Emmons (Mike) of Dittmer, MO, Gerry Dittman (Pam) of Coatesville; 3 brothers: Bill Crist (Kay) of Tennessee, Bobby Crist (Carolyn) and Elmer Crist (Patsy) of Monon and sister, Kay Burge (Rick) of Bringhurst; and grandchildren: April, Chris, Erica, Tasha, Dakota and great grandson, Walter.
