Three Paige Brothers Are in Active Service

Three sons of Mr. and Mrs. E. B. Paige, Bridgeport road, who are serving on active service, are Aircraftsman Bertram, Pte. Robert and Aircraftsman Franklyn Paige.

Mr. and Mrs. E. B. Paige, Waterloo road, Bridgeport, have just reason to feel proud of their three sons.

All three are wearing His Majesty's uniform on active service. Bertram, 26, is a leading aircraftsman with the Royal Canadian Air Force. Franklyn, 25, is an aircraftsman, second class, with the R.C.A.F., and Robert, 21, is a private with the Highland Light Infantry of Canada.

Robert was the first to enlist, joining the H.L.I. in Kitchener on June 27, 1940. He had been waiting to join the air force but grew tired of the delay and enlisted with several of his schoolmates.

Bertram was called for service with the air force in July, He has been drafted to No. 3 Air Observers' School, Regina.

Franklyn was called by the air force in August and had been stationed at Saskatoon, where he's training on aero engines. Recently he was transferred to Regina where Bertram is located.

Because of the distances to be travelled, Mrs. Paige does not expect either of her elder sons home this Christmas. Robert will likely receive either Christmas New or Year's leave from Stratford, where he is stationed.

The Paiges have a younger son and a daughter at home.
