Dad passed away peacefully with family at his side at the age of 83. He endured a long battle with prostate and bone cancer. Max was born in Lindon, Utah to Percy Leroy and Murn Cloe Mecham.

Max was raised on a farm in Orem where he learned hard work and how to make and fix anything. He graduated from Lincoln High School in 1952. Dad proudly served our country in the Army, stationed in Germany. Married Geraldine Fullmer March 3, 1961 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Later Solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple Feb, 8, 1965. They dedicated their lives to raising their five amazing children, even more amazing 17 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

Dad worked at Litton Industries and then Hercules where he retired as a machinist and QA inspector. Dad enjoyed motorcycles, working on and caring for his many cars, camping and guns. He loved listening to and singing classic country and reciting cowboy poetry.

Max was preceded in death by his parents, brother Eldean, sister Lois. Survived by his wife, children. Liz (Kelly) Burgon, Brad (Brandi) Adams, Don (Mario) Adams, Deanna (Jim) Jex, Shaunie (Randy) Mendenhall. Sister Carol( Bert) Fotheringham, Sister-in-law Beverly Adams.

The family wishes to acknowledge the VA, Superior Home Health and Sandy Rehab center, for their tender and compassionate care for Dad. Especially Denise, Emily and Renee.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday June 3, 2017 at 12:00pm with viewing prior at 10:00 am. LDS Church 7250 So. 300 E. Midvale. Internment at Evergreen Cemetery in Springville.
