LIEBER FUNERAL AT 9 TOMORROW

Military funeral rites for Maj. Gen Albert C. Lieber, 59, former post and 6th Armored Division commander at Fort Leonard Wood, will be held at 9 a.m. Thursday in Chapel No. 1, at the fort.

The post chaplain, Lt. Col. Morris, will officiate. Burial will be in St. Paul's Churchyard, Chesterton, Md.

Gen. Leiber, a veteran of 37 years Army service died yesterday morning in the Fort Wood hospital after suffering a heart attack the day before.

When he became ill, he was succeeded as post commander by Brig. Gen. F. S. Bowen, Jr., who had been Gen. Lieber's deputy.

Gen. Lieber's death came only a few hours after the death of another former Fort Wood commander, Maj. Gen. A. W. Penee, whom Gen. Lieber had succeeded at Fort Wood last spring, died yesterday morning at Fort Belvoir, VA.
