SSG Andrew Jackson Stauffenberg, (27), of C Company 1st Battalion 17th Infantry Reg 2nd Stryker BCT 2nd Infantry Div died on May 19th 2017 in Lakewood Washington. Andrew was an Expert Combat Infantryman and an Army Airborne Ranger. He served his country with honor and distinction earning numerous decorations and awards for his service. He was a combat veteran who served in Afghanistan. Andrew was born December 23rd 1989 in Buffalo, NY.

He is survived by his wife Sarah of Fayetteville NC, his father Erik, his mother Kathleen Fildes both of Norfolk, his sister Rebecca and his niece Aria of Buffalo NY, his brother Aaron of Norfolk and his fellow soldiers in arms of Chosin Company.

He will always be remembered for his total commitment to family, friends, country and duty.

The family will receive friends on Monday May 29th from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Rosewood-Kellum Funeral Home where A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, May 30th, 11:00 a.m. Andrew will be entombed following the service at Rosewood-Kellum Cemetery with full military honors.
