SHREVEPORT, LA. -- Services for Mr. Lonnie Edward Philan, 73, of Shreveport, will be held at 11:30 a.m., Monday, October 8, at Rose-Neath's Marshall St. Chapel. Dr. T. Floyd Davis, Jr. Pastor of Caddo Heights Baptist Church will officiate. Burial: Forest Park.

He died at 10:52 a.m., Friday, October 5, 1984, at Willis-Knighton Medical Center, after a lengthy illness. Mr. Philan, a native of Winnfield, La. and resident of Shreveport for 50 years, was a sausage maker with Shreveport Packing Co. He was a member of Caddo Heights Baptist Church, a member of Cedar Grove Masonic Lodge No. 403, a member of Cedar Grove Eastern Star No. 135 - past Worthy Patron of the Order of the Eastern Star.

Mr. Philan is survived by his wife, Mrs. Alline S. Philan; mother, Mrs. Minnie L. Philan, both of Shreveport; two daughters, Lynn Flanagan of Shreveport and Rita Hord of Houston, Texas; son-in-law, Larry Hord of Houston, Texas; sisters, Mrs. Bertie Melton, Mrs. Bertha Foster and Mrs. Lucille LePoint, all of Shreveport, and Mrs. Audell Lindsay of Waskom, Texas; a brother, A. P. Philan of Shreveport; two grandsons, Jason and Ashley Hord.

Pallbearers: Bob Hughes, James Rhodes, Leo Whitlow, Bill Lynn, Royce Allen, Wyley Rose, Harlan Estes and Homer Gardner.
