Margaret Senters Blevins, 82, of Ashland, Ky., died Thursday, April 8, 2004, in King's Daughters Medical Center.
She was born Nov. 2, 1921, in Griffith Creek, in Lawrence County, Ky., a daughter of the late Frank and Nannie McHenry Senters. She was much loved by her family and friends. Mrs. Blevins was an artist and enjoyed playing the piano. She was a member of Rose Hill Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Bobby Gene Blevins; two sisters, Dorothy Griffith and Augusteen Caudill; and three brothers, Sam Senters, Ronald Senters, and Burl Senters. She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Taylor Blevins; one grandson, Bobby Gene Blevins II and his wife, Mary, of Ashland; one great-grandson, Robert Tyler Blevins; four sisters, Betty Castle and Ann Brown of Cocoa Beach, Fla., Kathryn Short of Orlando, Fla., and Violet Adkins of Baltimore; and four brothers, Earl Senters of Vee-Haw Junction, Fla., Paris Senters of Palm Bay, Fla., Gary Senters of Ashland and Richard Senters of Mansfield, Ohio. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday, April 12, 2004, at Rose Hill Baptist Church by Dr. Ronnie Mayes and Dr. Charles E. Stewart. Entombment will follow in Rose Hill Mausoleum. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Miller Funeral Home in Ashland and from noon to 1 p.m. Monday at the church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Rose Hill Baptist Church, 1001 Winslow Road, Ashland, Ky. 41101.
