she was born in Cabarrus county, NC and she passed away at Carolinas healthcare system - northeast in Concord, NC. she was a 1968 graduate of A.L. Brown high school. Although she never had any children of her own, her many nieces and nephews were her source of pride and joy. she loved collecting their pictures and she beamed about their accomplishments. she was an excellent cook and spent many years as a seamstress. another source of her joy over the years were her pet dogs who were her babies.
on February 14, 1970 she married her husband and they spent 47 precious years together before the Lord called her Home. she was a member of North Kannapolis Wesleyan Church. this was the church that she was born and raised in and had attended all her life except for the years she lived in SC. she loved her church and enjoyed going when she was physically able.
