Dickinson-Lucile Parsons Rutt passed away, peacefully, on February 3, 2004, in Dickinson, Texas. She was born on September 1,1912, in Galveston to Thad Parsons and Jeanne Hacker Parsons.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Gordon S. Rutt, Sr. She is survived by her two sons, Gordon S. Rutt, Jr. and his wife Marsha and Charles Eugene Rutt; two grandsons, Charles E. Rutt, Jr. and his wife Amanda and Darrin M. Rutt; two great-grandsons: Jackson Charles Rutt, Theodore Lloyd Rutt; her two sisters: Julia M. Erwin and Joan T. Benge; and her brother: John 'Pete' Parsons.
Mrs. Rutt attended Ursuline Academy of Galveston and was retired from the John Dollinger Steel Company of Beaumont, Texas, where she was executive secretary for many years. After retirement, she and her husband operated a bookkeeping service for small businesses in Galveston and in 1973, they retired to Dickinson, Texas, where they were active members of the Shrine of the True Cross Roman Catholic Church.
Crowder Funeral Home, Dickinson, is assisting the family. A memorial rosary and Mass will be held at the Shrine of the True Cross Catholic Church on Saturday, February 14, 2004, at 10 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Pilot Club of Dickinson or the Bay Area S.P.C.A., or a charity of your choice.
