A native Delawarean, Michelle was born in Wilmington on February 27, 1970, and was the daughter of Richard M. Reed and Patricia Ann (Ingram) Factor. She made her career with Griffco in New Castle for a number of years.
Michelle adored the beach, where she spent many happy hours fishing and crabbing. She enjoyed attending bingo in her leisure time. Above all else, Michelle was happiest in the company of her beloved family.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Barbara Anne Reed. Michelle is survived by her father and stepmother, Richard and Debbie Reed; mother, Patricia Factor and her companion, Howard Riley; husband, Robert Atkinson; children, Robert Williams III, Brandon Williams, and Michelle Atkinson; brother, Richard Reed (Elizabeth); sister, Patricia Cole; grandchildren, Robert Williams IV and Brooklyn Williams; and many nieces and nephews.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 9:00 am until 11:00 am on Thursday, June 1, 2017 at the Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 1000 N. DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE, where a funeral service will begin at 11:00 am. Interment will follow in Gracelawn Memorial Park, 2220 N. DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE.
