"Mrs. Fred Baxter died at her home in Sloansville, Jan. 4, 1944. She was born in the town of Knox, April 23, 1861, the daughter of Ralph and Elizabeth Haverly Wolford. Surviving are five sons, Ralph, Loyd and Earl of Sloansville, Arthur of Schenectady and Clyde of Johnstown; two daughters, Mrs. Edith Empie of Sloansville, and Mrs. Leslie Saddlemire of Schenectady; a sister, Mrs. William Sholtes of West Berne; one brother, Madison Wolford of Gallupville; 14 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon in the Methodist church with Rev. T. H. Reinhart officiating. Interment in Valley cemetery.
