Lucy Howard Morgan. Daughter of Elizabeth Estridge and John Jefferson Howard. Wife of Elihu Morgan. She had a child with Dillion Sizemore before marrying Elihu 9-8-1891 Clay. She is buried at the spot where she often went to pray. By all accounts she was a deeply religious woman. She was a midwife and delivered numerous babies, mostly in the days before the Frontier Nursing Service. She has no death record and the date of her death was placed by her granddaugher, Laura Hoskin, as 'five or six weeks after the birth of my oldest son ' (James Glen 6/7/1934). James was the last child Lucy delivered. (Conversation with Laura Morgan Hoskins, daughter of Albert, April 2002.) Lucy does not have a tombstone.
