Marion Butler “MB” Perry, Jr., 93, passed away Tuesday, May 23, 2017. He was born July 12, 1923 in Wake County to the late Marion Butler Perry, Sr. and Girda Lillian Horton Perry. MB retired after over 40 years as a bus driver with Capital Area Transit in Raleigh. He was president of Local 1328 for 25 years. MB also served as a vice president to the State AFLCIO. He was a devoted Mason belonging to Hiram Lodge #40.

Funeral service will be held 2:00 pm, Sunday, May 28, 2017 at Hephzibah Baptist Church, 1794 Wendell Blvd., Wendell, 27591. Burial to follow in the church cemetery with Masonic Rites.

The family will receive relatives and friends prior to the service on Sunday at the church from 1:00 to 1:45 pm.

Surviving: son, William Ronald “Ron” Perry of Wendell; daughter, Donna Perry Oakley (Ronnie) of Garner; grandchildren: Katherine Perry, David Duncan (Elaine).

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Ida Gay Perry; brothers: Wade and Argo Perry; sisters: Vernie Perry, Inez Ayscue, Azalia Ray.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hephzibah Baptist Church Building Fund.
