He attended grade school at Brinnon, Wash., and high school at Quilcene, Wash., graduating in 1930.
He married Jessie E. Clough, June 12, 1937, in Bremerton. He was preceded in death by an infant daughter.
Norris was a retired firefighter of the Bremerton Fire Department and retired from the Bremerton post office as a mail carrier. He was a member and past master of Wm. H. Upton Masonic Lodge 206; The First Christian Church of Bremerton, and for many years was captain of ""The Fearless Five"" bowling team in a senior league at Westpark Lanes.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling and taking camping trips with his family. In later years, he and his wife took many bus tours to surrounding states and Canada. He also enjoyed playing pinochle and cribbage with his friends.
