Risley, who died Monday in a Shelbyville nursing home, retired in 1963 after working nearly five years as a clerk for the Internal Revenue Service.
He formerly worked 30 years for Borden Milk Co.
Risley was a member of Brookfield Baptist Church and was a former high priest of Royal Arch Mason Broad Ripple Chapter. He was a 50-year member and past master of Pleasant Masonic Lodge 134 at Acton.
He graduated from Purdue University with a degree in agriculture in 1913 and was superintendent of a farm school at Sorsogon, Luzon, in the Philippines from 1913 to 1916.
Survivors include his wife, Ruby; daughters, Helen Lee, Patricia Alloway, Eloise Maner; sons James, Richard, and Joseph.
