Charles Eugene Sharpe, age 87, of El Dorado Springs, MO., departed from this life on May 21, 2017. He was born on September 8, 1929, in Coal Creek, TN. to Sherman and Hattie Sharpe. It was also in Coal Creel that he met his wife to be, Eunice May Stokes. They were married on November 8, 1954 and were united nearly 50 years before her passing.

During his twenty plus years of services in the Army, Navy, a nd Air Force, his four children were born. After retiring from the military as a jet engine instructor, he worked various construction jobs, leading to his own business as an air conditioner repairman in Florida and Missouri.

Charles' desire to fish was bigger than life itself, and he loved to take his children and grandchildren every chance possible.

He accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior in 1972 and was baptized in a salt water canal in Aripeka, Florida. Charles and Eunice were faithful members of Union Hall Baptist Church in El Dorado Springs to the end of their lives.

Charles was preceded in death by his wife, Eunice; his parents; five sisters; and three brothers.

Survivors include: his brother, Carl Sharpe of Goodlettsville, TN.; brother Bobby Sharpe of Joliet, IL.; son, Mike Sharpe of Ft. Gibson, OK.: Kenny Sharpe of Monett, MO.; daughter, Jane Sharpe of El Dorado Springs, MO.; son, David Sharpe of Alabama; seven grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 24, 2017, from 6:00 p.m. till 7:00 p.m. at Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home. Funeral services for Charles Sharpe will be held on Thursday , May 25, 2017, at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Rev. Don Barger and Rev. Kenny Sharpe will officiate. Burial will follow in Clintonville Cemetery under the direction of Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home.

Pallbearers are: Chris Sharpe, Arron Sharpe, Sean Sharpe, Daniel Belzer, Blake Belzer and Jim Barnard.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Union Hall Baptist Church and left at the funeral home.
