Ingrid K. Hutson passed away in El Paso, Texas on September 28, 2014, at age 93. She was predeceased by her husband Harry, and is survived by sons Eric Hutson (Lori), Steve Hutson (Jayne) and Mike Hutson (Lori); seven grandchildren, Heather Surratt Jobe (Hudson), Howard Surratt (Ann), Stephanie Hutson, Danielle Hutson, Mike Hutson, Melissa Hutson and Memo Hutson, and by three great-grandchildren. She was born in Helsinki, Finland on February 8, 1921, the only child of Axel Lindlov and Marie Bursian Lindlov, natives of St. Petersburg, Russia, who fled to Finland after the Russian Revolution. She attended school in Finland and at Bedales School in England, as a summer exchange student. She was fluent in many languages and worked at the Bank of Finland until she was hired by the American Legation in Finland, where she met her husband. They were married in Paris, France and during his career with the U.S. State Department they lived in Paris, Moscow, Frankfurt, Guadalajara, Gothenburg, Munich, Copenhagen and lastly El Paso, where they moved to in 1973. For many years she served as bookkeeper for the St. Clement's Church Bargain Box thrift store. Graveside services will be held at a later date near Charleston, South Carolina, where her husband is buried.
