Ninety Six, Dec 28 - Robert Gautier McCants, 85, life-long resident and retired Merchant of Ninety Six, died at 6 o'clock this morning at his home following a critical illness of three days.
Mr McCants was born at Ninety Six, a son of the late Dr Nathaniel McCants and Ettie Poole McCants, both of Ninety-Six and was a member of St Paul's Methodist Church.
His wife, Mrs Ettie Moore McCants died February 17, 1943.
Survivors: 2 daughters, Mrs Paul Walker of Ninety Six and Mrs Katherine Hicks of Washington DC
