1991 - 2017

Cody Ashton Brown, age 25, of Kaiser, passed away on Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at Lake Regional Health System in Osage Beach. He was born in Sanford, North Carolina on May 30, 1991, the son of Bob and Dana (DeLacy) Brown.

Cody attended School of the Osage High School and graduated in 2010, where he was a member of the basketball and football team. Cody was an avid lover of all sports but was the BIGGEST Dallas Cowboys fan. He loved competition, whether it was the family’s annual Easter egg hunt, mini golf, or playing cards.

Every time that Cody would walk into a room, he would light it up with his contagious smile. He was a crucial part of the family and always a highlight of family vacations. He had a huge heart and cared about his family and friends so much. Cody was loved by many and will be deeply missed.

Cody is survived by Sister Chelsea (Brown) Riney and her husband Joe of St. Louis, Grandparents Mike and Mary DeLacy of Osage Beach, and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Cody was preceded in death by Grandparents Jack and Marjorie Brown of Iberia.

The visitation will be held from 5 to 7 pm on Tuesday, May 23rd at Hedges Scott Funeral Home in Osage Beach. Towards the end of the visitation friends and family members are invited to share their memories of Cody. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Osage Beach YMCA in memory of Cody.
