Funeral services will be held from the graveside in Hillcrest Memorial Park on Saturday, May 27, 2017 at 12:00 P.M. with the Reverend Bryan Cockrell officiating. Family and friends will assemble at the graveside.
Mr. Payton, a native of Hardin County, TN, was the son of the late Easel and Girtrude McKenzie Payton, and had made Augusta his home most of his life. Along with his wife was the owner and operator of Payton Sand and Gravel. He loved his family and especially his wife, he love to fish, was a hard worker and in his younger years he had been a professional motorcycle flat track racer. Mr. Payton was attending The Sanctuary in Evans, GA.
Mr. Payton is survived by his children, William Payton, David Payton, James W. Payton, Terry Payton and Renee' Payton; his grandson, Daniel Payton; as well as a host of nieces and nephews. -
