Services are 11 a.m. Wednesday at Hodgson Funeral Home Ltd., Rock Island. Entombment is in Memorial Park Mausoleum, Rock Island.
Visitation is 3 to 7 p.m. Tuesday. A memorial fund will be established.
The former Betty Joyce LaJeune was born Sept. 28, 1946, in Louisiana, the daughter of Milton and Ozelia LaJeune. She married James Buckallew Jr. Oct. 3, 1960.
Mrs. Buckallew was employed as a day care provider in her home.
She enjoyed country music.
Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Sheri and Jerry Berhenke, Moline, and Deborah and Mark Seggebruch, Greeley, Colo.; a son and daughter-in-law, James III and Tami Buckallew, Rock Island; her mother, Lake Charles, Louisiana; grandchildren, Joshua and Tara Nabb, Brittany and Lacy Berhenke and Teddy Buckallew; sisters, Anna Faye Matts, in Michigan, Verdie Mae Thibodeaux and Lillian Lasha, both of Louisiana; and brothers, Calvin Roy LaJeune, in Oklahoma, and Michael LeJeune, in Louisiana.
