Billie Jane (Jones) Reeves, 81, of Italy, passed away Wednesday, May 24, 2017, at Baylor Scott & White, Waxahachie. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, May 29, 2017, at the funeral home Chapel in Italy. Funeral services will be at 3 p.m., Tuesday, May 30, 2017, at the funeral home Chapel with Reverend Joe Chamness officiating. Burial will follow in Italy Cemetery.

Billie Jane was born in Frost, Texas, to the late Reuben Causey "Preacher" Jones and Minnie Bell (Haynes) Jones. Jane graduated from Frost High School in 1954, Navarro Jr. College in 1956 and attended NTSU. She married Sidney Scott Reeves on February 22, 1958. Jane was an active member of the First United Methodist Church since 1970 where she was the church organist for most of those years. She was also the church treasurer for 30 years. She retired from First State Bank of Italy after 24 years of service.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Sidney Scott Reeves; infant son, Ty Scott Reeves; brother, Bob Jones; and sister, Rita Roberts Cannon.

Survivors include her daughter, Shelley Jane Reeves; granddaughter, Courtney Jane Davidson; and all her loving family and friends. M5
