Mr. McDonald died May 25, 2017,on his wedding anniversary, at the University of Vermont Medical Center in Burlington. Gordon is survived by his wife of 60 yrs, Janice, Norwood; his son, Michael and Maggi McDonald, Amherst NY; three daughters, Janine "Jai" and John Fiacco, Norwood; Linda and Rit Tepper, Halfmoon NY; Nancy and Steve Bush, Chesapeake VA; 12 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren. Gordon was predeceased by a grandchild, baby Lauren McDonald; two sisters, Marie Hollfelder and Catherine "Dolly" Bunte. Born in Cheektowaga NY on Dec 6, 1931 to Melford and Catherine Halter McDonald. Gordon graduated from school and served in the NG, serving in Germany during the Korean Era. Upon returning home, he married Janice Eichhorn in Buffalo NY on May 25, 1957. He worked various construction jobs and becoming a Union Plumber. He later worked for Niagara Mohawk, retiring in 1991 with 34 yrs service. He was a communicant of St. Andrew's Church in Norwood and a member of the Norfolk KofC, the Norwood American Legion; the Gate House Hunting Club in Tupper Lake. Arrangements with the Buck Funeral Home, Norwood.
