Earl E. Stiles, 74, of York, died at 12:21 a.m. Monday at York Hospital. He was the husband of Helen F. (Sharrah) Stiles. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph's Church, 835 E. Princess St., York. Burial will be in Holy Saviour Cemetery. Viewing will be 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at the church.The John W. Keffer Funeral Home Inc., 902 Mount Rose Ave.,York, is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Stiles was born Jan. 14, 1920, in York. He was the son of the late W. Earl and Elsie (Mann) Stiles. He retired in 1982 from the Ships Parts Control Center, Mechanicsburg. Previously, he worked at the York Naval Ordnance Plant and the former York Safe and Lock Co. He was a member of the Naval Ordnance Plant Alumni Association, of St. Joseph's Church and was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.Mr. Stiles also is survived by two sons, Ronald B. Stiles and Craig M. Stiles, both of York; two daughters, Patricia A. Barber of Atlanta, Ga., and Debra E. Musso of York; five grandchildren; and two sisters, Mary Dietz of Akron, Ohio, and Margaret Senta of Dover.
