Iva L. Cunningham, 87, of Rural Route 1, Mt. Vernon; died June 26, 1993 at 8:26 a.m. in the Crossroads Hospital in Mt. Vernon.
Cunningham was born in Pinckneyville on September 6, 1905 to john and Josie (Houghland) Bernaix. She married Alvin Cunningham in 1934 in Pinckneyville. She was a member of the Beaucoup Baptist Church in Pinckneyville and worked as a seamstress in the Pinckneyville Garment Factory.
Survivors are one daughter, Pauline Miller, of Mt. Vernon; three sisters, Dorothy Campbell of Coulterville, Hilda Gaston of Pinckneyville, and Ethel Hays of Ash Flats, Calif.; several grandchildren, great grand children. and great great grand children.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, John Jr., Harry and Earnest; and one great grand child.
Funeral services will be at the Beaucoup Baptist Church on Tuesday, June 29, 1993 at 2 p.m. with Rev. James Mathenia officiating. Internment will be at the Mueller Hill Cemetery at Pinckneyville.
Pyatt Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
Friends may call at the Pyatt Funeral Home on Monday from 5 to 9 p.m. and on Tuesday from 8 a.m. to noon, and then at the Beaucoup Baptist from 12:30 p.m. until time of service.
