Cindy, a lifelong Texan, graduated from Weatherford High School in 1980. After graduation, she attended Weatherford College, pursuing her degree in respiratory therapy. She worked over the next 20 years as a Certified Respiratory Therapist at Campbell Memorial Hospital in Weatherford. Cindy continued her career in 2003 at Cook Children's Hospital in Fort Worth, where she daily demonstrated her love of children. If help was needed, Cindy was there to care for anyone who needed her assistance. As further proof of her loving and caring nature, Cindy was an organ donor. Through her untimely passing, others have received the gift of life from her selfless act of donation. Cindy was a devoted mother and grandmother, caring for her children and grandchildren without regard to her own busy schedule. She never missed her daughters' softball games or stopped cheering on her son's hunting and fishing expeditions. But, perhaps her greatest joy was caring for her twin grandchildren, Paige and Gage. She was the best CiCi they could ask for and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. Cindy was preceded in death by her grandfather, Alfred Elders; and grandmother, Frances Elders. Survivors: She is survived by husband, Kelley Horton; son, JohnThomas "JT" Larkin and wife, Emily Brown Larkin; grandchildren, Gage and Paige Larkin; daughters, Karley and Kelsey Horton; parents, Waymon Burkhalter and wife, Janelle, and Sherri Gray (Darrell Johnson); and uncle, Gary Elders. She is also survived by her sisters, Jodi Bensmiller and husband, Clay Bensmiller, and Rene Smith; niece and nephew, Taylor and Caleb Smith, and nephew, Quinton Gillum. In addition, she is survived by father-in-law, Wayne Horton and wife, Carolyn; sister-in-law, Marci Davis and husband, David; nieces, Maci and Maddie Samuelson; stepbrothers, Mike Patterson and wife, Shelley, and Shawn Patterson; niece, Bailey Patterson; nephew, Cole Patterson; and many other loving family members and dear friends.
